FAOMRA is the Federation of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Regulatory Agencies which provides coordination and exchange of information between the regulatory agencies in the US. and has an interest in connecting with international boards and other agencies interested in assessing and raising the professional standards of competency for the field. They are also interested in assessing reciprocal accreditation standards and other mutually beneficial exchanges.

The Alliance has a helpful synopsis of the education and examination requirements for licensure on their site as well as publishes a very detailed accounting of the state laws nationally in the US.

Acupuncture.com http://www.acupuncture.com/StateLaws/StateLaws.htm#5 has done a nice synopsis of acupuncture practice in the different states. However the laws and information may not be as current as direct from the regulatory boards.
