Commitment:
We do our best to serve you. Customer satisfaction is our #1 priority.
2. How
fast do we ship and from where:
Our in stock items can usually ship within 1-2 business days primarily
from our fulfillment house in Portland, OR., unless during a holiday,
vacation or emergency. For example, Friday orders usually ship
the next Monday or Tuesday. Call us if you need a RUSH same day
processing and shipment (Additional handling fee applies). (See
#7 and #8 below for more.)
Books, forms, pamphlets, Acubase software, and video tapes are
shipped from Portland, Oregon normally by UPS. Audio tapes are
shipped from HI U.S. Postal Priority Mail, delivery confirmation.
Two of our products are drop shipped from the maker.
We know about how long packages take to different destinations.
If you are concerned with the timing, we can also give you a tracking
number and phone number of the delivery service to check on the
delivery status.
3. Payment:
We accept Mastercard and Visa for online secure purchase. For
international clients, we honor payment by credit card, certified
check in U.S. funds, money order in US funds. If you are paying
by check, be sure you include all charges. Otherwise, it may cause
a delay in processing your order if we need to e-mail or call
you. We would then need to bill on your credit card for the difference.
We accept checks within the US. However, there is up to a 10 day
period to clear a personal or corporate check before the order
is sent.
4.
Hawaii
General Excise Tax:
There is no sales tax on orders outside of Hawaii. Hawaii resident
have a GEU tax of 4.1666% added.
5.
Customs
charges:
Outside the US be aware that your order is subject to customs
charges by your country which is paid for by you separate from
your order. We are sorry, but if you refuse your order because
of customs charges, we cannot refund our shipping charges to you.
E-mail us to see if there is a distributor internationally that
carries the product in which you are interested. This may prevent
customs charges.
6. Billing of Shipping charges.
We have 3 primary services:
- UPS Ground Service.
- UPS AIR --Overnight,
2nd day, 3 day select, or Global Express.
- US Postal Service Priority mail
to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska, V.I. & Canada. Delivery
confirmation.
From Tao to Earth has an online UPS rate calculator so if you
choose that method you can see what your charges will be at
checkout. For the other methods, your charges will be determined
at the time of packing, and included. You can check out rates
for USPS below:
NOTE: If you are not sure
what the best shipping rate is for you, e-mail

at 1 (303) 245-8133. We can find out the best rate for you, particularly
of concern are international rates.
We make sure packages have a tracking number. UPS insures the
first $100 automatically. US Post office does not automatically
insure. Priority mail always will include a delivery confirmation
in the U.S.
7.
Shipping
Delivery time:
Continental US:
Most orders are shipped from Portland, OR. by UPS Ground Service
standard freight in the continental US. It normally takes 5 -
7 working days to arrive. Expedited UPS services are available
at purchaser's own option and expense.
Hawaii, Alaska, US islands: We ship US priority. It usually takes
5 - 7 business days.
International:
We usually ship either UPS Global Express or post office Global
Priority (usually 1 week) which is shorter than Parcel Post which
can take 6-8 weeks. E-mail
us regarding international shipping. Wholesale orders which are
bulk may be best Mail Bag Surface Post.
8. Expedited
Service:
If you need to have an item no later than a specific date, you
may need to upgrade to expedited service. Please make a note of
this on the online order form. If you are not sure if the package
will get to you by normal delivery time, e-mail:

To handle your package "overnight mail" via Federal
Express or US post office, there is a $15 handling charge.
9. Handling
charges:
There is a $5 handling charge on any mail order to defray our
costs to service the order and cover our orderfulfillment costs
from Portland, OR. facility, and $8 handling for school orders
with 5 or more books. For rush same day order processing and shipping,
there is a $11 handling charge.
10. Back
Orders:
Back orders are shipped as soon as they are available. Please
contact us if you want to cancel a back order. We do not charge
back orders until product arrives at our shipping site and we
are ready to ship to you. Let us know a date that you must have
the item. If we don't receive product by that date, we will call
first to see if you still would like the item.
11.
Return,
refund and exchange:
Software and our masters forms packets are not returnable once
opened. All returns and exchanges must be prearranged within 3
days of receipt by contacting us and received at our Portland,
OR facility within 2 weeks in order to obtain a refund. Returns
and exchanges must be unused and in resalable condition. We refund
your original purchase price for the item only, less the actual
shipping and handling costs. There is a 10% restocking fee which
covers the charge by the facility in Portland to us. We get very
few returns because customer satisfaction is so high.
12. Damage
and shortage claim:
Please contact us iimmediately about the damage or shortage of
merchandise- no later than 10 days (1 (303) 245-8133 US
and Canada or Toll Free Fax: 1- (866) 699-4114 in the US.
Please do not discard the original carton from any damaged shipment.
Meanwhile file your claim with UPS or to the common carrier. E-mail
or call us and we will give you instructions.
13. Modification:
Prices and items may change without prior notice.
